The Winter Reading Program begins at the Metuchen Public Library January 5, 10:30 a.m.
The Program is open to Metuchen residents 18 months through fifth grade. Phone registration begins on or after Dec. 10 at 10:00 a.m.
The following programs will be offered:
•Preschool Patrol for 3 year olds, Mondays , 10:30 a.m.
•Book Babies for 18 – 24 month olds, Tuesdays, 10:30 a.m.
•Ready Readers for 4 and 5 year olds, Wednesdays, 10:30 a.m. or 1:30 p.m.
•Toddle Time for 2 and 3- year-olds, Thursdays, 10:30 a.m..
The library also offers several drop in programs which do not require registration:
•Mostly Mother Goose, for ages 1 – 4. Friday, January 9 and February 13, 10:30 a.m.
•Drop in Crafts for all ages with an adult, Saturday, January 4, 2:30 p.m. and Valentine’s Day Craft, Friday, February 14.
•Book Bingo, Monday, January 12, 7:00 p.m., Caldecott Bingo (picture books) and Monday, January 26, 7:00 p.m., Newbery Bingo (Children’s Literature)
•African American History Month Bingo, for 5 year olds and up. Saturday, February 21, 2:30.p.m.
