The Philadelphia Medical Examiner’s Office has ruled that the death of a 19-year-old Plainsboro Township resident, who fell from a sixth-floor window at his Temple University dormitory last week, was a suicide.
Richard Dalcourt, who graduated from West Windsor-Plainsboro High School North in 2017, was a freshman at the Philadelphia university. He was studying mechanical engineering.
Dalcourt fell from the sixth-floor window around 10:30 a.m. Oct. 3. He was taken to Hahnemann Hospital, where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
West Windsor-Plainsboro High School North Principal Jonathan Dauber shared the information with school staff, and said that support for staff and students would be available at school.
“Please know that our thoughts are with the Dalcourt family at this time,” Dauber said.
