Devin Hill Berry Devin Hill Berry, of Hopewell NJ, died unexpectedly on Friday, January 8, 2016. He is survived by his mother; Heather Berry, of Hopewell, NJ, his father Glen Berry and stepmother Patricia Berry of Milford, NJ, his sister, Kendra Berry (fiancée Don Sigler) of Stewartsville, NJ., step siblings Diana and Eric Fass, grandmothers Valerie Hill and Joan Varley and of course, his loyal and quirky dog, Pepper. Devin’s life was an adventurous one. As an infant, he relocated to Nairobi, Kenya where he spent the first two years of his life. After a few years back in NJ, the family moved to Hong Kong, followed by the Philippines. He participated in Boy Scouts overseas and had many amazing experiences including camping on Corregidor Island and hiking the Banaue rice terraces with his Dad. Here he discovered his love of diving. Upon return home to the States Devin took up Tae Kwon Do. Dev loved animals and was always willing to help anyone in need. His sharp witted humor and quest for knowledge will not be soon forgotten. At an early age he would dream up wild schemes and then try to get his little sister to implement them. Devin turned his love of diving into his profession, achieving his Commercial Diver’s Certification from Divers Academy International. This enabled him to travel the country on various dive assignments. After diving he worked at diverse occupations (construction, farming, etc.) He was happiest when he could work with his hands and help others. There will be a memorial service at the Hopewell Train Station (2 Railroad Place, Hopewell, NJ 08525) on Saturday, January 23rd from 11:00 a.m to 3:00 p.m. to celebrate and remember his life. In place of flowers, would you please consider a donation to: The Barnyard Sanctuary (barnyardsanctuary.org) We think Dev would like that. Arrangements are under the direction of the Hopewell Memorial Home, HopewellMH.com.
