Ardeshir “Arde” Rostami, 70

Ardeshir “Arde” Rostami, 70 died Monday at home.
Born in Iran, he made Montgomery his home since 1973. He is survived by his soulmate and wife of 43 years, June, two sons, Marc and Andrew and wife Angela. Arde is the son of the late Bahram Rostami and is survived by his mother Irandokht Rostami and sister Paricher Rostami. His grandchildren, Robbie and Lucy, and soon to be born grandson, were the love of his life.
He was Assistant Treasurer for Public Service Electric & Gas, where he worked for 40 years. In his “retirement” he became a personal financial planner with AXA Advisors. Arde graduated from Iowa State with a degree in engineering, received his MBA from the Stern School of Business at NYU, and attained a masters in operations research from Columbia University. He also held a CFP and received a retirement degree from the Wharton School. Beyond his accomplishments, he will be remembered by most as a brilliant, yet humble man who touched everyone he met with kindness and generosity.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10:00am at the Hillsborough Funeral Home, 796 US Hwy 206, Hillsborough. Burial will be private. Calling hours will be Friday from 5-8pm at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to the Mary Jacobs Memorial Library Foundation or S.H.I.P at 87 E. Hg. St. Somerville.
