Eleanor Mott Kane, 90, passed away on Feb. 5, at the Francis E. Parker Home, Easton Ave., New Brunswick.
She was employed at Middlesex County College for 20 years as an Administrative Assistant, retiring from the Office of Vice-President for Academic Affairs in 1991.
Eleanor had been an active member of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Metuchen, serving on the Altar Guild and Church Choir. She also was a member of the St. Dunstan’s Choir Guild of the Trenton Diocese of New Jersey.
She was a member of the Middlesex County Retired Educators Association, Officer in the Metuchen Chapter No. 3208 AARP, Friends of the Metuchen Library, YMCA of Metuchen, Plainfield West Nine Country Club and volunteered for many years at JFK Hospital.
She is predeceased by her husband, Robert, and her parents, Arthur and Margaret Mott. Surviving are her brother, Arthur Mott of East Brunswick; her son, Robert Kane and wife Vincetta of Hamilton; her daughters, Nancy Sardone and husband Rocco of Edison and Christine of West Windsor; her granddaughters, Alexa Kane of Hamilton, Julie Zambrano and husband Robert of East Windsor, Lauren Courchesne and husband Andrew of Franklin, TN, Megan Luther and husband Eric of Collegeville, PA; her grandson, Justin of Ewing and three great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Sunday, Feb. 12 from 4-7 p.m. at Costello-Runyon Funeral Home, 568 Middlesex Ave. (Rt.27) Metuchen.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, Feb. 13 at 10 a.m. at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 17 Oak Ave., Metuchen.
Burial will follow at Franklin Memorial Park, North Brunswick.
