Amy Levy, 64

Amy Levy, 64, of East Windsor, New Jersey, passed away at the Robert Wood Johnson Hospital on February 17, 2017. She was an East Windsor resident for 33 years, and a New Yorker at heart. Amy had a masters’ degree in education from Hunter College, which she put to good use: as a special education teacher for the New York City public school system, as the leader of multiple classes for toddlers at the East Windsor municipal building, and

raising and educating her two children who both made it to the Ivy League. She was also an assistant supervisor at Mathematica Policy Research and a bridal registry consultant at Macy’s.

 

She was preceded in death by her father Louis, and is

survived by her mother Lenore, her husband of 41 years, Joseph, her son Benjamin and daughter-in-law Jacqueline, her daughter Jessica and son-in-law James, and her

grandson Sammy.

 

Amy was buried at the United Hebrew Cemetery in Staten Island, New York, where other members of her family have previously been laid to rest.
