William Henry Kibbel, Jr., 93, of Pennington passed away Wednesday March 1, 2017 at Capital Health Medical Center at Hopewell.
Born in Buffalo, NY, he had resided in Pennington for 60 years. During WWII, Bill was an officer in the Navy serving in the Pacific. Post-war, he pursued in degree in chemical engineering first at Case Western Reserve and then at Cornell. He retired from FMC Corp. in Princeton where he was the author of many patents. Bill was an active member of the Hopewell Valley Lions Club, the Pleasant Valley Vigilant Association, and St. James RC Church in Pennington.
Son of the late William H. Sr. and Winifred Webster Kibbel, husband of the late Anja Inn Kibbel, he is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Candace R. and Kim Kwiatek of Dayton, OH, a son and daughter-in-law, William H. III and Dianna Kibbel of Springfield, PA, 5 grandchildren, Keren Stick, Oren Kwiatek, Aliza Kwiatek, William H. Kibbel, IV, and Julie Kibbel, and 2 great-grandchildren, Elijah Samuel and Kyla Marie Kwiatek.
Funeral service will be held Saturday 6:30 p.m. on Saturday March 4th at the Wilson-Apple Funeral Home, 2560 Pennington Road, Pennington, with Deacon Moore Hank from St. James RC Church officiating. Friends may call Saturday March 4th from 5-6:30 p.m. at the funeral home. The interment will be private.
