David Eden, 63, died Tuesday, July 18th in Princeton. Born in Oklahoma, he grew up in Peru and moved to Israel in 1971.
A combat veteran of the October 1973 War, he became a founding member of Israel’s first peace movement, Shalom Achshav (Peace Now) in 1978. He was active in Israeli politics and a member of Kibbutz Yas’ur before moving to Princeton in 1996 where he worked for Mathematica Policy Research as a translator.
David is survived by his wife, Elka Frankel; his sisters, Leslie and Diana Eidelman; his six nephews and a niece.
