Democratic Party candidates Mia Sacks and Michelle Pirone Lambros claimed victory in the Princeton Council election for a pair of three-year seats on the governing body in the Nov. 5 general election.
Sacks and Pirone Lambros, who received 4,283 votes and 4,111 votes respectively, edged out challenger Adam Bierman, who ran as an independent candidate. Bierman earned 1,092 votes.
The vote results are unofficial and have not been certified yet by Mercer County.
Sacks and Pirone Lambros will fill the Princeton Council seats held by council members Jenny Crumiller and Tim Quinn.
Crumiller did not seek re-election, and Quinn lost his bid for nomination in a three-way Democratic Party primary contest in June.
The newly elected Princeton Council members will take their seats when the council reorganizes in January 2020.
