Howell officials put out call for volunteers to serve on boards, committees

HOWELL – The Township Council is seeking interested citizens to volunteer and serve on Howell boards, commissions and committees, and as representatives/liaisons, during 2020.

Current vacant representative/liaison appointments include the township’s Monmouth County Board of Freeholders representative and the township’s Metedeconk Watershed Protection Alliance representative, according to municipal officials.

Vacancies exist on the following boards and committees:

• Community Alliance, meets every third Tuesday at 12:30 p.m.;

• Environmental Commission, meets every second Wednesday at 7 p.m.;

• Farmers Advisory Committee, meets every fourth Thursday at 7:30 p.m.;

• Lake Restoration and Wildlife Committee, meets every third Thursday at 10 a.m.;

• Mobile Home Rent Stabilization and Control Board, meets every second Wednesday at 7 p.m.;

• Municipal Green Team, meets every last Tuesday at 7 p.m.;

• Preservation Task Force, meets every fourth Thursday at 7:30 p.m.;

• Planning Board, meets every first and third Thursday at 7 p.m.;

• Shade Tree Commission, meets every third Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.;

• Zoning Board of Adjustment, meets every second and fourth Monday at 7:30 p.m.
