An excellent question to ask a potential
listing agent for your home is, “What is your
marketing strategy for my particular needs?”
Ask if they do a direct mail campaign &
whether it would be beneficial in your
case. How often does the agent plan to
advertise & where? Will the property be
marketed online & if so, what sites? Does
the agent take their own photographs or
hire a professional? Will they be providing a
virtual tour? Is an aerial shot something that
would showcase your land and the home’s
placement on it? What does your agent
see that could potentially detract from the
listing & do they have advice about how to
remedy the problem?
Of course, there’s no question that 2 of the
first things I do for my sellers is provide them
with a market analysis as well as a marketing
plan to outline my responsibilities. I pride
myself on my ability to answer the many
questions that will inevitably pop up during
the process of selling your home or buying
a new one. My office is located at 1199
Amboy Ave, Edison.
HINT: Ask potential agents what they feel
is your strongest selling point: location,
school district, walk score or ease of
commute & how will they focus on this?
