Hackensack Meridian Health Raritan Bay Medical Center (RBMC) recently recognized Ghazali A. Chaudry, M.D., FACS, attending surgeon, during the semi-annual physician meeting at the Grand Marquis in Old Bridge for his service in Afghanistan as lieutenant colonel in the United States Army.
“We are pleased to honor Dr. Chaudry who has recently returned from overseas combat deployment in Afghanistan,” Thomas Shanahan, chief hospital executive, RBMC, said in a statement. “His commitment to provide the best care to our military and to our patients makes him an extraordinary leader.”
As a board certified and fellowship trained minimal invasive surgeon, he applied his skills and knowledge in the field ensuring active military members have the best care possible.
Since 2004, Dr. Chaudry has served as attending surgeon at RBMC and also serves as a lieutenant colonel in the U.S. Army. Prior to this, Dr. Chaudry served as battalion commander and served overseas in combat deployment in Forward Surgical Team in Iraq, Afghanistan and Kosovo.
