FREEHOLD TOWNSHIP – A $19,750 contract has been awarded by the Township Committee for an emergency notification system in Freehold Township.
On Jan. 14, committee members awarded the contract for the emergency notification system to Everbridge Inc. The anticipated term of the contract is one year, according to a resolution.
In other business, the committee reappointed Andrea DiGiovanni as a qualified purchasing agent. Catherine Campbell is also a qualified purchasing agent in Freehold Township.
Committee members reappointed Anthony Vecchio as municipal court prosecutor, Lorraine Nielson and Paul Granick as alternate prosecutors, Raymond Santiago as public defender, and Elizabeth Kiernan as township tax collector.
Township Clerk Sanabel Abouzenia was reappointed as future assessment search officer for 2020 and DiGiovanni was reappointed as the public agency compliance officer and community development representative for 2020.
Mayor Lester Preston was appointed police commissioner, Kristin Bartolomeo was appointed deputy municipal clerk, Margaret Jahn was appointed dog registrar and Paul Vitale was appointed the Americans with Disabilities Act compliance officer for 2020.
Preston appointed Todd Rowohlt to the Board of Parks and Recreation Commissioners and Township Committeewoman Maureen Fasano to the Historic Preservation Commission.
William Lombardi and Township Committeeman Anthony Ammiano were appointed to the Environmental Commission; Marie Bayerle and Paul Hessler were appointed to the Monmouth County Senior Citizens Coordinators Council; Janiece Kirton, Teng-Teng Chin Kleiner, Joann Price, Daniel Valentine and Fasano were appointed to the Human Relations Council; Jay Robinson was appointed as the mayor’s representative to the Governor’s Council on Alcohol and Drug Abuse; and Paul Hessler was designated Gypsy Moth Coordinator for 2020.
The Township Committee appointed Thomas Coyle, Frank Lucia, Lee Beaton, Raymond Piccolini, Daniel Spicuzza, Township Committeeman Thomas Cook and Jahn to the Emergency Management Council; Police Chief Ernest Schriefer, Beaton and Spicuzza to the Fire Prevention Board; Paul Hessler and Cook to the Cable Television Advisory Committee; Thomas McGowan, Stephen Solowey, Cook, and Preston to the Street Name Review Committee; and Stacey Hersh-Ehling, Tara McQuade and Jeanne Patterson to the Shade Tree Commission.
And, committee members appointed Robin Lemesevski and Alene Opatut to the Board of Health; Scott Higgins, Robert McDaid, Robert Zupa, Lucia and Higgins to the Clean Communities Advisory Board; Linda Altini, Preston and McGowan to the Municipal Alliance to Prevent Substance Abuse Committee; James Mauro and Barbara Vitale to the Transportation Board; Christopher Kean and Joseph Reilly to the Lake Topanemus Commission; and George Baumann to the Youth Guidance Council.
Appointed by the committee as township physicians were Dr. Leslie Sojka (medical doctor), Dr. Robert Pedowitz (medical doctor) and Mark White (psychologist).
