Bryant University, Smithfield, R.I., has named Jackson residents Jake Friedman, class of 2021, and Victoria Wypych, class of 2022, to the dean’s list for the 2019 fall semester.

The University of Hartford, West Hartford, Conn., announced that Andrew Petersen of Howell has been named to the President’s List (GPA of 3.75 or higher) for Fall 2019.

Thomas Lowery of Howell was recognized for outstanding work during the 2019 fall semester and was named to the president’s list at The Citadel, Charleston, S.C. The list is a combination of the dean’s list and the Commandant’s Distinguished List and is comprised of cadets who contribute the most to their companies while maintaining excellent military and academic records.

James Madison University, Harrisonburg, Va., announced that the following students were named to the dean’s list for the 2019 fall semester: Cory Friedman of Jackson, Nicolette Omelczuk of Howell, Jordan Horner of Howell, Brianna Salameh of Howell, Alexa Salameh of Howell and Callie Wixon of Howell.

Kasey Finnigan of Howell has been named to the president’s list at James Madison University, Harrisonburg, Va., for the 2019 fall semester (GPA of 3.9 or higher). Kasey is majoring in accounting.

Sydney Ostroff of Howell was among the 177 University of Scranton, Pa., students who studied abroad during the Intersession 2020 semester. Sydney, an occupational therapy major, participated in the American Institute for Foreign Studies in Italy.

Julie Myhal of Jackson has been named to the dean’s list at Seton Hall University, South Orange, for the 2019 fall semester.

The Citadel, Charleston, S.C., has named the following Howell residents to the dean’s list for the 2019 fall semester: Thomas Lowery and Christian Shave.

Boston University, Boston, Mass., has named Kathryn R. McCabe of Jackson to the dean’s list for the 2019 fall semester.

Boston University, Boston, Mass., has named Howell residents Kate M. Gaynor and John P. Morgan to the dean’s list for the 2019 fall semester.

Rochester Institute of Technology, Rochester, N.Y., has named the following local residents to the dean’s list for the 2019 fall semester: Nicholas DaSilva of Jackson, Shawn Nevers of Jackson, Giovanna Caruso of Howell and Lucas Mackenzie of Howell.
