History Channel’s non-action series The UnXplained, hosted and executive produced by Golden Globe® and Emmy Award® winning actor William Shatner, will premiere its eight-episode season on Saturday, Feb. 29, at 9 p.m. ET/PT. The one-hour anthology series will tackle subjects that have mystified mankind for centuries, from mysterious structures and cursed ancient cities to extraterrestrial sightings and bizarre rituals. “It’s an intriguing show that will offer viewers credible answers to questions about mysterious phenomena, while also leaving other theories left unexplained,” said Shatner. The series will also feature contributions from top scientists, historians, engineers and researchers – each seeking to shed light on how the seemingly impossible can happen.
AMC’s original anthology series Dispatches from Elsewhere, created by and starring Jason Segel, will debut with a two-night premiere event on Sunday, March 1 and Monday, March 2, at 10 p.m. ET/PT. The ten-hour series is centered around four ordinary people who feel there’s something missing in their lives, but they can’t quite put their finger on what it is. This diverse foursome is brought together by chance – or perhaps it’s by design – when they stumble onto a puzzle hiding just behind the veil of everyday life. As they begin to accept the mysterious Dispatches from Elsewhere challenges, they come to find that the mystery winds deeper than they imagined, and their eyes are opened to a world of possibility and magic.
