The Board of Chosen Freeholders together with the Middlesex County Public Health Officer have directed that all Middlesex County buildings are closed to the public until further notice.
This measure is in line with continued efforts from the county to keep employees and the public safe and healthy during the COVID-19 outbreak, said Freeholder Director Ronald G. Rios.
The county is still conducting business with residents and businesses. This will be done through normal office phone numbers and/or emails to ensure continuity of services to members of the public and more importantly to ensure essential services will continue to be provided, according to a statement from the county on March 17.
The public is encouraged to visit middlesexcountynj.gov to find contact information for each respective department.
As a result of this directive, the Middlesex County Board of Chosen Freeholders regular meeting scheduled for 7 p.m. on March 19 will be conducted via audio conference call only and will not be held at the Middlesex County Administration Building. The 6 p.m. conference meeting has been cancelled.
The public may call to be conferenced into the 7 p.m. regular meeting: toll-free number 877-402-9753, using access code 4791313.
