Five new cases reported in Monroe; total is up to 12

MONROE – Five new cases of COVID-19 were reported in Monroe on March 22, part of the 590 new cases in New Jersey announced today, for a total of 1,914.

“Stay home except for essential trips,” Mayor Gerald Tamburro said in a statement.

Middlesex County reported 31 new cases on March 22 for a total of 147 positive cases, according to the statement.

Monroe has been notified of five new cases: a 66-year-old male, 57-year-old male, 76-year-old female, 60-year-old female and 26-year-old female.

Monroe now has a total of 12 positive cases.
“Stay in, unless you absolutely need to go out. Stay safe. Stay smart. Stay compassionate to one another,” Gov. Phil Murphy said in the statement.
