The Vin Gopal Civic Association, an organization founded and chaired by state Sen. Vin Gopal (D-Monmouth), teamed up with Eatontown Police Chief Bill Lucia to help raise funds that were used to purchase personal protective equipment (PPE) for first responders, law enforcement personnel and healthcare providers in Monmouth County, according to a press release.
Gopal said, “Thanks to the donations of so many companies and individuals, we were able to donate PPE equipment to over 75 agencies and providers in Monmouth County.

“These supplies are much needed. Our law enforcement personnel and first responders are on the front lines, so we appreciate all of these donors for helping out with this much-needed PPE,” Lucia said.
State and county offices of emergency management have been notified of the supplies that were donated so they can keep track in their inventory tracking, according to the press release from the civic association.
