WOODBRIDGE – Woodbridge officials reported its lowest daily totals of positive COVID-19 cases during the holiday weekend.
Mayor John McCormac, in his daily report on April 13, said 21 cases were reported on April 12 and another 19 on April 13 bringing the total number of cases in the township to 699.
“That’s good news although we really cannot read too much into the numbers because of the holiday weekend,” he said. “Still, it’s better than the numbers of the last few days last week. There are still no noticeable trends to report.”
In his report, McCormac recognized Siperstein’s Paints in Fords for their donations of personal protective equipment to the township and fire districts.
He also recognized the township fire departments, who put a lot of smiles on the faces of children and even adults all over town. He noted Brian Turcotte, Dennis Petrick, Sarina Rodriguez and Christine Diana who helped put together the weekend schedule for driving the Easter Bunny around to wave to everyone.
“[The Easter Bunny] called me Sunday night and said he was very tired but he loves the children of Woodbridge,” McCormac said.
