Monroe reports 15 new positive COVID-19 cases, face masks are available at Stop and Shop

MONROE – Monroe officials reported 15 new positive COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number of cases to 398, according to the Monroe Township Office of Emergency Management on April 24.

The cases range in age from 33 to 94. The cases include eight females – a 33 year old, a 49 year old, a 53 year old, a 54 year old, a 66 year old, a 72 year old, an 85 year old, a 94 year old, and seven males – a 44 year old, 51 year old, a 52 year old, 59 year old, a 63 year old, a 65 year old, and a 74 year old.

The total COVID-19 deaths is 50, 38 from long-term care facilities, officials said.

The COVID-19 drive-thru testing site at MyInstaDoc, 298 Applegarth Road, will serve pre-registered patients from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and drive-up patients from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Testing resumes on April 25. Monroe Township OEM has issued over 2,000 pieces of personal protective equipment to the Monroe Stop and Shop in the Concordia Shopping Center. A face mask can be requested at the Courtesy Desk if needed.
