MONROE – Monroe officials reported three new positive COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number of cases to 462, according to the Monroe Township Office of Emergency Management on April 28.

The new cases include an 18-year-old male, a 77-year-old female and a 90-year-old male.

Monroe has lost 50 residents to COVID-19 deaths, 38 from long-term care facilities, officials said.

Antibody testing is now available along with COVID-19 testing at MyInstaDoc, 298 Applegarth Road. The urgent care has been offering COVID-19 PCR testing by nasal swab for over a month and has served more than 1,800 people.

Currently the antibody testing is being offered to health care workers, first responders and public servants who are symptom-free for a period of no less than 14 days. The service is also being offered to symptom-free family members of those who were infected with COVID-19 and who have completed their period of quarantine. The test will assess them for subclinical infection in the past.
