New Jersey business leaders interested in maintaining a safe, healthy and drug-free workplace are invited to participate in a free statewide webinar on Legal Issues for a Drug-Free Workplace from 1-2 p.m. June 2, sponsored by the Partnership for a Drug-Free New Jersey (PDFNJ).
The webinar, hosted by PDFNJ’s workplace prevention program, Drugs Don’t Work in NJ, will examine the potential consequences of marijuana legalization for the New Jersey workplace and how to create a comprehensive drug-free workplace policy.
Nancy N. Delogu, Esq. of Washington, D.C, a nationally recognized authority on federal and state drug-free workplace and drug testing issues, will be the featured speaker. Her presentation will focus on legal and legislative developments related to a drug-free workplace, including the potential impact should New Jersey legalize the recreational use of marijuana in a statewide referendum set to occur this November. Additionally, Delogu will address the compliance issues facing New Jersey businesses as more than 70,000 residents of New Jersey are authorized to use medical marijuana.
Representatives from small, mid-sized and large businesses; human resource managers; compliance and safety experts; government and union representatives; and not-for-profit executives are invited to attend.
