Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore has announced the election of Teri O’Connor to a two-year term as chair of the organization’s board of directors.

A four-year member of the board and past First Vice Chair, O’Connor was honored in 2011 as one of the Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore’s Women of Distinction. She is a former Girl Scout and volunteers for her granddaughter’s Brownie Troop in Holmdel, according to the press release.

The board elected the following members to serve as officers for a two-year term: First Vice Chair, Nina Anuario of Jackson; Second Vice Chair, Jacqueline Shea of Freehold;       Secretary, Ben Waldron of Lanoka Harbor.

Users of the Monmouth County Library are invited to participate in a survey designed to
assess the needs of residents during recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic. Results will help evaluate the tools, programs and services most beneficial as the public transitions.

The survey is sponsored by the New Jersey Civic Community Recovery Committee, a group of New Jersey library leaders whose mission is working with stakeholders to create a new civic infrastructure that responds to this crisis with community-driven solutions, according to a press release.

Feedback from the survey will be used to leverage resources of public libraries to best meet the needs of residents. Survey results will help adapt this role in the transitional phase into a post-pandemic environment, according to the press release.

Templates will be created for programs, tool kits and trainings for libraries and
stakeholders to adapt and implement. Individuals who wish to take the survey may visit tinyurl.com/NJCCRCSurvey
