SOUTH RIVER–The South River Public Library will offer curbside pickup of library materials beginning June 22.
Library Director Evalina Erbe said services will be available Mondays from 3-6 p.m., Wednesdays from noon to 3 p.m., and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with the exception of Fourth of July.
Call the library to arrange for pickup. If a resident needs a library card he or she can apply through the library’s website.
Continue to use the book drop box in the parking lot to return items, Erbe said.
“Summer Reading is being held virtually this year, sign up on the [library’s] website. Prizes will be available for pick-up once we are able to allow entrance to the library building,” she said.
Erbe said the library is scheduling outdoor programs that meet all of the social distancing requirements and will require registration in advance. These will be announced on the library’s website, Facebook page and Instagram.
“The next phase will allow entrance into the building by appointment only for a limited number of people at one time, but we do not yet know when that will happen. We are looking forward to seeing everyone again but we want everyone to be safe and healthy,” Erbe said.
