South Brunswick Library will book appointments for computer usage

Beginning next week, the South Brunswick Public Library will allow limited use of its computers by appointment only.

South Brunswick residents age 18 and older can now reserve one hour of computer time inside of the library building, located at 110 Kingston Lane, Monmouth Junction section of South Brunswick.

Appointments begin on Monday, July 6. To make an appointment, call 732-329-4000, ext. 7286.

The hours for appointments match Curbside To Go service and are:

Mondays and Wednesdays between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. and again 4-7 p.m.

Friday and Saturday between noon and 3 p.m.

Face coverings must be worn; gloves are recommended.

There will be limited computer assistance available. Appointments are being offered with those in mind who may need public computer use the most, such as those needing access for unemployment claims, tax filing, and job searches.

This new opportunity is SBPL’s next step in service as it continues to follow its phased-in reopening plan. Curbside To Go borrowing service is doing well and more accessibility to the library will be available in time as safety allows.

Persons with a computer appointment are there to use the computer only. There will be access to the Internet, Word, Excel or printing.

Library collections are not available for browsing and all borrowing must be done through Curbside service.
