Some Princeton roads still remain closed because of down wires and trees from Tropical Storm Isaias.
Princeton Police Department officials said the storm on Aug. 4 caused fires on wires, down power lines, and trees to fall down which blocked roads into homes.
Roads still closed are Snowden/Herrontown, State Road (N/B Detour Ewing to Herrontown), Stuart Road (Detour onto Bouvant Drive), Cleveland Lane (between Lafayette Road and Library Place), Laurel Road, Hamilton Avenue (between Leavitt Lane/Snowden Lane), Spruce Street (East of Linden Lane), Rosedale Road (between Province Line Road and Johnson Park School), Herrontown Road (near Autumn Hill Road), Brook Stone Drive (PSE&G on scene), Pheasant Hill Road, Broadripple Road, Queenston Place, and Edgerstoune Road (the west end), according to a Princeton Police Department nixle message.
Residents who lost power due to the storm can charge cellphones and laptops inside the community room in the Princeton Municipal Building on Witherspoon Street. Community members will be able to charge their devices until 6 p.m. on Aug. 5.
This will be updated as more information becomes available.
