‘Earth Day Every Day’ webinar series celebrates 50th anniversary of Earth Day

Rutgers Cooperative Extension (RCE) will present a webinar series celebrating the 50th anniversary of Earth Day: “Earth Day Every Day!”

Formerly “Earth Day at Home,” which debuted in the spring to mark the 50th anniversary of global environmental action, is once again open to the public with a series of engaging presentations designed for anyone who wishes to take small steps to protect the environment. These steps include taking action to make homes more sustainable, from environmentally friendly lawn care to recycling and to conducting a home energy audit.

The live, online interactive sessions, taught by RCE experts, will last one hour and will be held on Mondays, starting Sept. 14 at 6:30 p.m.

Each week will feature a different topic and leave participants with small actions that, together, will reduce negative impacts on the environment.

Also included are two RU Wildlife Wise sessions with the Rutgers Wildlife Conservation and Management Program, including a special Halloween edition.

Each live webinar will be presented via WebEx.

To join, you need a computer, tablet or smartphone, with speakers.

More information about these free sessions and a link to registration can be found at https://envirostewards.rutgers.edu/Earth-Day.html.
