The mission of New Jersey Blood Services is to provide an adequate blood supply to hospitals and their patients. They require 1,500 donations each day to treat patients ranging from trauma victims to newborn babies and their mothers to cancer patients.
All type of donors are needed.
The Brunswick Square Mall will host a blood drive from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. April 14 at the store next to Old Navy, near Macy’s, at the mall, 755 Route 18, East Brunswick.
Appointments are recommended. Walk-ins will be accommodated only if space allows.
For an appointment, visit nybc.org/newjerseydrive using sponsor code 61483; or call 800-933-2566.
Remember to eat, drink and bring a donor ID card or ID with name and photo. Donors 76 and over need a doctor’s note unless one is already on file. Those who are 16 need a signed New York Blood Center parental consent form.
If you have received the COVID vaccine there is no waiting period before donating as long as you are feeling well.
