NORTH BRUNSWICK — Cozzens Lane will be closed to through traffic between Hartland Commons and Arlington Avenue Aug. 26-30.
Only local traffic to homes, businesses and the Italian American Social Club will be permitted.
The closure is necessary for the reconstruction of Cozzens Lane where it meets the new Arlington Avenue Bypass. Once open, the new bypass is expected to significantly improve the flow of traffic along Cozzens Lane between Route 27 and Route 1, and virtually eliminate the congestion surrounding Arlington Avenue.
The work is part of nearly $10 million in local road improvements required by the township. The work is constructed and funded by North Brunswick TOD Associates LLC, in anticipation of the Main- StreetNB transit village project.
