Middlesex County celebrates New Brunswick HEART Festival 

The Arts Institute of Middlesex County is presenting a multitude of arts and culture events, exhibitions and shows throughout August, packed with programming primarily centered around the second annual New Brunswick HEART Festival.

 

August’s event highlights include:

  • Aug. 7 at 3 p.m. – Learn about Asian Indian culture through theater, music and dance performances, and watch a culinary demonstration.
  • Aug. 14 at 4 p.m. – The second annual New Brunswick HEART Festival will take place in person at Monument Square in downtown New Brunswick, located at 2 Livingston Ave., and will also be livestreamed on YouTube. The festival celebrates the vibrant arts and history of New Brunswick and Middlesex County. Enjoy live music, craft making activities and more.   • Aug. 21 at 3 p.m. – Revel in Caribbean vibes while exploring the English-, Spanish-, Dutch- and French-speaking diaspora. Enjoy dance, music and culinary delights virtually.
  • Art-in-the-Park – Grab a sketchbook, drawing supplies, oil pastels, paints or other materials and sketch your way through the county’s local parks with an artist as your guide every Saturday in August from 1-3 p.m. Programs are open to all ages, and do not require registration.
