Cheryl Alabré, 60, of Ewing, died peacefully in her sleep on August 11th.
She was born on May 27, 1961, to Roscoe Lewis and Oleta Swinson in Trenton.
She married Joseph Alabré on September 27, 1987 and they had two children.
She worked for Princeton University Library for more than 30 years, initially as shelver, who advanced to work on scholarly collections with Research Services in the Engineering Library.
Cheryl was an avid dog-lover and advocate for animal rights in general. She also loved the natural world and was a seasoned gardener.
She is survived by her husband, Joseph; her son Rio and daughter Leah; her sister, Shaun Edwards; her brother Darryl Swinson; two nephews, Dante and Darryl, Jr.; a niece Deayrah; and her beloved dogs Abby, Kneechee, Poe, Priya, Kobe and Percy.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. Lewis (1987) and Ms. Swinson (2012).
The family will hold a private memorial, courtesy of Campbell Funeral Chapel (Trenton, NJ), and ask that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Crossing Paths Animal Rescue.
