Princeton police blotter

A victim reported that someone allegedly fished a check out of a U.S. Postal Service mailbox on Nassau Street, altered it and cashed it for $7,950. The incident was reported Sept.7.

A caller reported seeing two people stealing bicycles in the area of North Stanworth Drive Sept. 9. The suspects had already left the area, but police recovered two bicycles that were stolen from a porch and returned them to their owner.

A thief allegedly pulled two checks out of a U.S. Postal Service mailbox, altered them and cashed them, resulting in a loss of $7,500, according to reports. It was reported Sept. 13.

A victim reported that his bicycle was stolen from Witherspoon Street sometime between 6:30 a.m. and 5:05 p.m. Sept. 15.

A Stanworth Lane resident told police that someone had used her personal information to apply for unemployment benefits. The incident was reported Sept. 10.

Someone went into an unlocked garage on Evelyn Place and stole a bicycle, valued at $150, according to reports. The theft was reported Sept. 11.

An Armour Road resident reported that someone allegedly used her personal information to open a Home Depot credit card account. The incident was reported Sept. 11.

A 40-year-old Princeton man was charged with driving while intoxicated following a motor vehicle stop on Princeton-Kingston Road Sept. 12.
