Montgomery Township police blotter

A 2020 BMW X5 sport utility vehicle was reported stolen from inside the garage of an Avalon Lakes home on Dec. 4. The garage door had been left open and the key had been left inside the SUV, according to reports. The victim was home when the theft occurred sometime between 5:15 and 5:45 p.m., police said.

A McKinley Court resident reported an attempted burglary Dec. 8. The resident noticed that her screen window was damaged and also saw a pry mark on the bottom of the window frame, according to reports. The burglar did not get inside the house.

Four sets of tires and rims, valued at $4,000, were stolen from a 2022 Audi A4 sedan that was parked behind the service center at the Volkswagen dealership on Route 206 overnight between Dec. 5 and 6.

An unlocked Porsche Cayenne sport utility vehicle was entered while it was parked outside its owner’s home on Harvest Moon Lane overnight between Dec. 9 and 10. The burglars rummaged through the interior of the SUV and removed the garage door remote opener from the sun visor. The burglars were able to open the garage door, but nothing was reported missing, police said.

A 63-year-old Princeton man was charged with driving while intoxicated, consumption of an alcoholic beverage in a motor vehicle and possession of an alcoholic beverage in a motor vehicle, plus additional motor vehicle violations, after police responded to a call about a possibly intoxicated man consuming alcoholic beverages in a car Dec. 12.
