Gianna Anzalone of Jackson is one of the newest members of Alpha Epsilon Delta, a national honor society and service organization dedicated to the encouragement and recognition of excellence in pre-professional health scholarship. Muhlenberg College, Allentown, Pa., welcomed 26 new members to the Pennsylvania Nu chapter of Alpha Epsilon Delta at a ceremony held on April 3. Membership is based on each student’s scholastic achievement and applications are open to all students who have completed at least three semesters of a pre-professional health program.
Cassidy Johnson of Jackson was recently initiated into the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation’s oldest all-discipline collegiate honor society. Johnson was initiated at The College of New Jersey, Ewing Township.
Marissa Realmuto of Howell, a member of the Colgate University, Hamilton, N.Y., Class of 2024, has earned the Fall 2021 Dean’s Award with Distinction. Marissa is a neuroscience major at Colgate and is a graduate of Howell High School. Students who receive a term grade point average of 3.6 or higher while completing at least three courses during the Fall 2021 semester earn the Dean’s Award with Distinction.
Rosie Dunphy of Howell, a student at DeSales University, Center Valley, Pa., was an understudy as Liesl, a Nun, a Party Dancer, and was the Female Swing in the university’s Act 1 production of “The Sound of Music” from April 27 through May 8. Act 1 is the producing arm of the DeSales University Division of Performing Arts.
The Montclair State University Department of Athletics held its National Student-Athlete Day Celebration on April 25 and Lindsay Bathmann of Jackson, a physical education major, was one of the honorees. The event recognized the members of the 3.0 Club along with the induction of the newest class into the Chi Alpha Sigma Honor Society. Lindsay participates in soccer at the university.
Vinny Taranto of Jackson is a candidate to graduate from Utah State University, Logan, Utah, with a Bachelor of Science in Outdoor Product Design and Development. The 2022 graduating class includes graduates from the summer and fall 2021 semesters and the spring 2022 semester. The main campus ceremonies were held on May 5 in Logan.
Albright College, Reading, Pa., student-athlete Harrison Bley of Howell earned the MVP award as a member of the E-Sports: Overwatch team during a ceremony on May 3 in Merner-Pfeiffer-Klein Memorial Chapel. A graduate of Howell High School, Harrison is studying game and simulation development at Albright.
