The incident follows a similar false public alarm that was reported June 5. The June 5 and June 6 incidents are not directly related, police said. Both incidents are under investigation, and the juveniles are facing appearances in Mercer County Juvenile Court.
In the incident on June 5, the West Windsor and Plainsboro police departments launched a joint investigation into the incident after school district officials were made aware of the alleged threat late in the afternoon.
The investigation determined that the threat made against West Windsor-Plainsboro High School North was non-credible. West Windsor-Plainsboro High School is in Plainsboro Township.
In a joint statement West-Windsor Police Chief Robert Garofalo and Superintendent of Schools David Aderhold said “police and school district officials will act swiftly whenever a threat or perceived threat is reported involving the West Windsor-Plainsboro Regional School District community.”
