A Newark man was arrested on an outstanding warrant from East Orange after the car he was driving nearly caused an alleged crash by cutting in front of another car on Clarksville Road April 8. During the investigation, it was discovered that he had a suspended driver’s license and was wanted on the outstanding warrant. He was processed and released.
An East Windsor Township man was charged with shoplifting for allegedly concealing liquor and other items underneath his clothing and walking out of McCaffrey’s Market without paying for them April 9. He was processed and released.
An assortment of items were reported stolen from a home in the Kings Point development between March 29 and April 10. Someone allegedly pried open a sliding door to gain entry and disabled and damaged the alarm system.
Two men allegedly took 28 bottles of designer fragrance, valued at a combined $3,425, from the ULTA Beauty store on Nassau Park Boulevard April 16. They fled the scene in a red Nissan sedan.
A MacBook laptop computer was stolen from a car while it was parked in the FedEx store parking lot April 22. Somone allegedly smashed the passenger side window, reached inside and grabbed the victim’s backpack from the front seat of the car.
Someone allegedly stole an unlocked 2015 Ford sedan that was parked on Nassau Park Boulevard May 1. The keys were left inside the car. The victim used a tracking device that showed it was in Trenton. The victim was able to retrieve the car, which had been abandoned, minus the license plates that had been removed.
Two men allegedly filled two shopping carts full of appliances – Kitchen Aid mixers and air fryers – from the Target on Nassau Park Boulevard April 21. A store loss prevention officer tried to stop them as they fled the store and got into a car that was missing its license plates. The amount of items stolen totaled $2,107.96.
