Two employees of Cherry Valley Farm were injured when a 2017 Honda Ridgeline pickup truck crashed into the farm stand at 619 Cherry Valley Road Sept. 4, according to the Montgomery Township Police Department.
The 16-year-old driver, who lives in Rocky Hill Borough, lost control of the vehicle, police said. He had a driver’s permit and was driving the vehicle with his father. The teenager allegedly mistook the gas pedal for the break pedal after shifting gears to drive, police said.
The Honda Ridgeline accelerated and drove into the farm stand, striking the checkout counter and damaging a portion of the farm stand, police said. The teen and his father were not injured.
The two farm stand employees – a 31-year-old woman and a 32-year-old man – suffered injuries. The woman complained of back pain and the man suffered a cut to his arm, police said. Montgomery EMS emergency medical technicians attended to their injuries. Both employees refused further medical attention, police said.
The driver was issued a motor vehicle summons for the crash, police said.
