Heller Industrial Parks recently hosted its annual broker recognition dinner to honor those who worked with the company to complete 28 deals totaling 3,039,432 square feet in 2012.

These transactions generated more than $1.5 million in broker commissions, according to a press release.

“We have always valued our relationships with the brokers,” Senior Vice President Steve Kaufman said. “They have a passion for what they do and a tireless work ethic, making them an important aspect of why we are so successful in closing these deals.”

Smashburger will open its 13th New Jersey location at 875 Route 1 South, North Brunswick, in April.

The company has announced plans to hire 50 new local team members who are experienced cashiers, cooks, managers and shift supervisors.

Qualified candidates must be at least 16 years old to apply for cashier positions, and at least 18 years old to apply for cooking positions. Managers and shift supervisors must have at least two years of restaurant management and supervision experience.

Interested candidates are encouraged to apply in person from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. from Monday to Saturday at the North Brunswick location. Diesel Fitness, Route 130, North Brunswick, and Larry Campanella will host a posing seminar featuring National Amateur Bodybuilders Association (NABBA) Mr. USA winner Gary Kamil at 4 p.m. on April 7.

Kamil will offer posing lessons and contest preparation training for Diesel’s upcoming NABBA Mr. New Jersey and women’s open Ms. Figure and Women’s Bikini championships to be held July 13 at Linwood Middle School, North Brunswick.

North Brunswick-based Vish LLC will receive assistance from the New Jersey Economic Development Authority (EDA).

Vish LLC is a processor of plastic recyclable materials in the Northeast, providing end-to-end global solutions for waste management.

The EDA is able to work with its banking partners to offer financing opportunities to small businesses in New Jersey.

To refinance the existing mortgage debt on its facility, the company received a loan from Provident Bank that included a $1.25 million EDA participation.

Founded by brothers Vishal and Shiv Kukreja in 2004, Vish LLC has a staff of 12 and plans to create 35 new jobs within the next two years.
