Need a REAL-ID driver’s license? NJ Motor Vehicle Commission mobile unit visits Princeton

The New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission’s mobile unit is visiting Princeton through March 10 for residents who would like to obtain a REAL-ID driver’s license, renew a vehicle registration or turn in old license plates.

The mobile unit will be stationed in the parking lot at Monument Hall, near the Suzanne Patterson Senior Center, between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m.

A REAL-ID compliant driver’s license will be needed for persons who want to fly within the U.S. effective May 2025, unless they have a U.S. passport or another federally approved form of identification, officials said.
