A 30-year-old East Windsor Township woman was charged with driving under the influence, reckless driving, careless driving, leaving the scene of an accident and failure to report an accident after her vehicle struck a utility pole on Oak Creek Road Dec. 11. She allegedly left the scene, but a police officer found her on Devonshire Drive. She was charged after failing field sobriety tests. She was processed and released.
A 31-year-old East Windsor Township man was arrested on outstanding warrants after police were sent to the Motel 6 on Franklin Street for a reported dispute between two people Dec. 10. One of the persons was reported to potentially be armed, but police determined that a weapon was not involved. The man was processed and turned over to the Trenton Police Department.
A 38-year-old East Windsor Township woman was charged Dec. 7 with burglary and theft for allegedly burglarizing a vehicle while it was parked on Avon Drive between Nov. 30 and Dec. 2. The woman allegedly stole credit cards from the vehicle and used them to make purchases. She was charged on a summons.
A 45-year-old Somerset man was charged with shoplifting for allegedly cutting security tags off handbags at the Burlington store and putting the handbags in his car Dec. 5. Police found him and recovered a box cutter knife. He was found to have numerous outstanding warrants. He was processed and released to the Holmdel Police Department.
A 64-year-old Monroe Township woman was charged with shoplifting for allegedly concealing items worth $45.18 in reusable shopping bags and attempting to leave ShopRite without paying for them Dec. 5. She was charged on a summons.
A 55-year-old Pemberton man was charged with driving under the influence after a police officer saw his car parked in the Wendy’s restaurant parking lot on Route 130 with its lights on and the engine running at 2:44 a.m. Dec. 2. He was arrested after failing field sobriety tests. He was also charged with reckless driving, careless driving, refusal to submit to a breath test and having an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle. He was processed and released.
