Poetry reading Feb. 10 at S. B’wick library

Poetry readings take place 2-4 p.m. on the third Sunday of each month (unless otherwise noted) in Program Room 2 at the South Brunswick Public Library, 110 Kingston Lane, Monmouth Junction. Readings are free, but a donation of canned goods for the local food pantry is encouraged.

On Feb. 10, Maxine Susman and Daniel Harris will read. Susman writes about the natural world, illness and healing, art, travel, and people’s lives. Her work has appeared in dozens of journals and anthologies, and she has won recognition from the Allen Ginsberg Poetry Contest, among others.

Harris’ first collection of poems, “Loose Parlance,” was published in 2008, after a long career of writing about great authors and poets. He has published in numerous publications and founded “Jewish Voices; 200 Years of Poetry in English,” an education program of presentations and short courses for Jewish organizations.
