Mrs. Mannino, 85, died, Dec. 23, 2011, at her home in North Brunswick. Born in Gualtieri Sicaminò (Messina), Italy, she emigrated to the U.S. in 1956. She had resided in the Bronx, N.Y., before moving to North Brunswick 18 years ago. Mrs. Mannino was a communicant of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in North Brunswick. She had worked as a seamstress in the Bronx before retiring in 1992 and was a member of the International Ladies’ Garment Workers Union. She was predeceased by her brother, Giuseppe Calapa. Surviving are her husband, Nicola Mannino; two daughters and their husbands, Nancy and Salvatore Liguori of North Brunswick and Rosalie and Alfred Lucia of Northport, N.Y.; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a brother, Nunziato Calapa and his wife, Anna; a sister-in-law, Genevieve Calapa; and several nieces and nephews. A Mass was offered at Our Lady of Peace Church followed by interment at Franklin Memorial Park, North Brunswick. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, P.O.
