Mr. Pozniak, 58, died at home on March 21, 2013, in North Brunswick. Born in New York City, he lived in the Somerset section of Franklin Township before moving to North Brunswick 35 years ago. He was a refrigeration engineer at Bristol-Myers Squibb in New Brunswick for 17 years and was a member of Local No. 68 of the International Union of Operating Engineers. Mr. Pozniak was predeceased by his father, Stanley Pozniak. Surviving are his wife, Jil Velloso Pozniak; his son, Douglas James Pozniak, of Somerset; his mother, Helen Sikoryak Verhage, of Somerset; his sister, Karen Pozniak-Robins, of North Carolina; and his brother, John Verhage, of Pennsylvania. Funeral services were at Selover Funeral Home, North Brunswick. Entombment followed at St. Peter’s Cemetery, New Brunswick.
