South Brunswick High School Project Graduation will sponsor an outdoor community flea market and yard sale May 13 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., with vendor applications due by May 6. Open house at S. B’wick Senior Center May 6
South Brunswick Senior Center, 540 Ridge Road, Monmouth Junction section of South Brunswick, will celebrate Older American’s Month and Senior Center Week with an open house May 6 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. The free event will feature various classes in session, photo ID cards, door prizes, tours, a flea market, baked goods, and various refreshments provided by Friends of the Senior Center. Attendees may also meet artist Marcel Franquelin and his students. Reception for artist Harry Rubel May 9
The South Brunswick Arts Commission will hold a reception for photographer and artist Harry Rubel May 9 at 6:30 p.m. at South Brunswick Municipal Building, 540 Route 522, Monmouth Junction section of South Brunswick. Rubel’s photos will be displayed at the municipal gallery through June 30. A native of New Brunswick, Rubel, 93, has been a photographer and filmmaker more than 50 years. Since retirement, he has created works that are abstract and include vibrant collages. His works are in the collections of Johnson & Johnson, and Delaware and Raritan Canal State Park.
