Mrs. Van Liew, 96, died Oct. 27, 2011, at Regency Heritage Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Somerset. Born in Atlanta, she was raised in New Jersey and had lived in South Carolina and Florida before moving back to New Jersey several years ago. Mrs. Van Liew was a member of the Kendall Park Baptist Church. She was predeceased by her husband, Charles Van Liew, in 1994. Surviving are two daughters, Frances K. Wilson of North Brunswick and Elizabeth V. Cain of Montrose, Pa.; three sons Kenneth O. Van Liew of Lady Lakes, Fla., Thomas J. Van Liew of Santee, S.C., and Gary W. Van Liew of Aurora, Colo.; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. A Mass was offered at Kendall Park Baptist Church, followed by interment at Lake Nelson Memorial Park, Piscataway. Arrangements were by Selover Funeral Home, North Brunswick.
