The Freehold Area Running Club’s 29th annual Born to Run 5-Mile Race will be held on Nov. 28 at 11 a.m.
Registration will begin at 9 a.m. at the Freehold Firehouse, 51 West Main St., Freehold.
This day-after-Thanksgiving race has become one of the most popular road races in the state.
The out-and-back course starts and finishes on Court Street and loops through Topanemus Park along the way.
There is a $100 bonus to the runner who breaks the course record. Former Freehold High School star Kevin Kelly holds the men’s course record at 24:45. The record has stood since 1997. The women’s record is 27:59 by Michele Lilenthal (2006).
Pre-registration (by Nov. 21) is $25, and race-day registration is $30.
The event benefits the Open Door Food Pantry.

The Central Jersey Baseball Academy is hosting an Offensive Skills Camp for advanced instructions.
The four-week camp provides advanced instruction for players eager to progress to the next level of play.
The camp will take place every Saturday beginning on Nov. 21, and registration is online only at http://www.centraljerseybaseball.com/Player-Development-Programs.html.
Over 1,000 spectators, amateur competitors and professional racquetball players will return to The Racquet Club at Warren, 149 Mt. Bethel Road, Warren, for the ROLLOUT New Jersey Open IRT ProAm on Dec. 11-14.
Amateurs from New England to Maryland are expected to enter a wide variety of age and skill divisions in this United States Association of Racquetball sanctioned event.
