Movies, lectures at So. Bruns. Senior Center
The South Brunswick Senior Center will present two movies in February beginning with The White Pony Feb. 2 at 10 a.m. The Princess Diaries will be shown Feb. 16, also at 10 a.m.
The free lecture "A Woman’s Heart" will be given by Bonnie Arkus, R.N., Feb. 7 at 12:30 p.m. Founder and president of the Woman’s Heart Foundation, Arkus will discuss the ways heart disease affects women and strategies to take care of the heart.
A "Valentine Party for Seniors" will be held Feb. 14 from 1-2:30 p.m. The program will include dancing, music, poetry and songs, door prizes and refreshments. Entertainment will be provided by the center’s thespian group.
"Holistic Health — Sugar Blues" will be presented by Terra T. Emet Feb. 21 at 12:30 p.m. Emet will discuss foods to help sugar cravings, sugar’s action in the body, and other topics.
The AARP will provide free income tax counseling Thursdays, Feb. 21-April 5 from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Seniors must bring a copy of last year’s return, and an appointment is necessary. To schedule an appointment, call (732) 329-4000, ext. 670.
