Library to offer yoga, workshop, comedy event
The South Brunswick Public Library will hold its next beginner/intermediate yoga sessions Jan. 3-Feb. 7.
Sessions will be Thursday evenings, and fee is $30.
Advance registration is required, and attendees are asked to wear loose clothing and bring an exercise mat.
A series of financial management workshops will be held Jan. 9 and 23, Feb. 6 and 20, March 6 and 20, and April 3 and 10 at 7:30 p.m.
The free workshops are sponsored by Merrill Lynch and feature topics such as college planning, credit management, and taxes. Registration is necessary.
An afternoon of comedy featuring Stephen Franzman will be Jan. 20 at 3 p.m. Franzman is known as the "Clown Prince of Aging" and has performed locally at the South Brunswick Senior Center.
The library is at 110 Kingston Lane, Monmouth Junction section of South Brunswick.

‘Mind and Body’ series scheduled for Dec. 17
The South Brunswick Advisory Board of Health will continue its December-January schedule of health-related programs with I Am Your Child the week of Dec. 17. All programs are shown on TV-3 as part of the board’s "Mind and Body" series.
Avoiding Collisions: Parents, Teenagers and Cars will air the week of Dec. 24, and a video on head lice will be aired the week of Dec. 31.
Lead Poisoning — the Silent Epidemic will be shown the week of Jan. 7, and Hepatitis B will air the week of Jan. 14.
Program times are Monday at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday-Thursday at 8:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m., Friday at 8:30 a.m. and 7:30 p.m., Saturday at 9 a.m. and 7:30 p.m., Sunday at noon and 7:30 p.m., and Monday at 9 a.m. The new show for the week begins on Monday at 7:30 p.m. and ends the following Monday at 9 a.m.
