The members of the South Brunswick Foundation for Excellence in Education would like to take this opportunity to thank members of the community who supported the foundation this weekend by attending the performance of The Nutcracker at South Brunswick High School.
Once again, it was an outstanding performance by members of the New Jersey Dance Theatre Ensemble. It was a privilege to see Lisa Urbanowicz, a student at South Brunswick High School, dance the role of the Nutcracker Prince Fritz and the performances of South Brunswick High School students Michelle Bussiere and Kristen Majewski.
Since the foundation is an educational organization, proceeds from the event will provide funding for educational events that require dollars above and or beyond what the Board of Education is able to provide.
The foundation is providing a grant to the music department at South Brunswick High School to support the Wind Ensemble as they fund-raise to attend the National Concert Band Festival in Indianapolis, Ind., in April. Members of the education foundation also are in the process of coordinating efforts with the New Jersey Dance Ensemble to bring a performance of Peter and the Wolf to South Brunswick in the spring of.
