Laurence Parkway to be closed Sept. 17
. Laurence Parkway in Old Bridge will be closed from noon to 2 p.m. on Sept. 17 for the Rolling Thunder Ride for Freedom. The closure will be in effect between Route 35 and the Garden State Parkway southbound entrance.

South Amboy Elks to hold hog roast after motorcycle ride
The South Amboy Elks Motorcycle Committee will hold its seventh annual Hard Core Hog Roast beginning at 1 p.m. on Sept. 17 at Elks Lodge 784, 601 Washington Ave., South Amboy.
